The house and Gite were originally built in 1865 so the renovation, which was finished in 2020, has been completed sympathetically to incorporate many of the original features such as lime mortar walls and exposed beams. However, there is a modern kitchen and living area and a heated 10m x 5m swimming pool together with Table Tennis in your own private garden.
Maison Tranquille is spacious (around 190m2 - 2045 sq.ft) and has four bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities, plus a large family bathroom with shower and free-standing bath. All bedrooms are equipped with fans to help keep you cool in the summer !
There is a double room with 180cm wide bed and en-suite on the ground floor and the remaining three bedrooms are off a large landing on the first floor.
The largest room with 200cm wide bed has an en-suite shower, double vanity unit and private facilities.
The other two rooms can be configured as twin or doubles (180cm wide) so please let us know your requirements when booking. These rooms share the family bathroom.
The open-plan living/kitchen and dining areas (54m2 - 580 sq.ft) look over the house gardens and your own private garden with heated swimming pool and private parking area.
The Gite is furnished in a modern, relaxing style and the fully fitted kitchen includes a fridge/freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. There are two 3 seater sofas and a 4 seater sofa in the spacious living area grouped around a coffee table. There is a flat screen television and free Wi-fi is available. The dining area has a country kitchen style table with 8 high back dining chairs.
All the upstairs rooms have electric heaters and the ground floor has central heating (included in the weekly rate) and a wood burner for making it extra cosy in the winter. All bathrooms/en-suites have wall mounted heated towel radiators.
You enter the Gite via electric gates where there is secure parking for up to three cars. Here you will also find a large private and fully enclosed garden (approx. 1250m2 - 1/3 acre) which is suitable for dogs (please contact us when bringing your pet(s)). There is an outdoor eating area overlooking the pool and a barbecue area to the side.
Covered parking for up to 4 cars can be made available in the garage at an additional cost of €10 per vehicle per night.
1 x guest towel, 1 x bath towel, 1 x pool towel and a bath robe are provided for each guest. There is also a hairdryer in every bedroom.
There is an integrated washing machine, iron and ironing board available for gite guests.
For guests staying longer than one week fresh linen is available upon request.
